Two trainers to choose from...?
Okay from opinions on here (thanks) and my own research, I have narrowed it down to two obedience trainers in my area to take our APBT Max to. He's dog aggressive, listens to the basic obedience commands but only follows them 1/2 the time.
Just looking for opinions/suggestions between these two

Neither of them list prices... thats a big sign they are going to cost some money, hm?
Both prefer one on one training with the dog which is great, but I also know Max needs to be socialized more in a controlled enviormnent. And money isnt the big issue, it will be well spent.
I just want help in managing the dog aggressive behavior, i don't expect to get it out of him, i don't want that. I just want help in managing it with him a little better.
Patient Paws... want to come to GA to train him for me? ;)
Most of the time when a trainer doesn't list a price it means they do it individually. I do this. If an animal comes to me and doesn't need a lot of work, it won't be a very hefty price tag unless the owner wants something specific trained in. If a dog (like yours) is highly aggressive and poses a moderate challenge, I'll evaluate what needs to be done, place a time estimate on it, and calculate the cost.
I personally don't like the look of the second website, but thats all I've seen so far. They used the wrong context of "You're", which is a red flag. How can you expect customers to respect you as an intelligent dog trainer when you can't spell things correctly? They also SELL dogs? The second one also seems like a ILTC (intensive learning training center), which is more for dogs that will be used as service dogs. From what I've seen on there, they don't even list the type of training certificates that have been approved for them to do what they do. I don't see anything that would lay me to rest that these people are qualified trainers.
The first one I've actually heard of, but haven't had any personal experience with. I've never had a dog come to me who had previously been to the SMSDTC.
I personally would do more research on training centers around your area before making a set decision.
Most APBT's are dog aggressive, thats a natural apt that the majority of them suffer from. I train them and rehabilitate them and I've only run into ONE dog that didn't have aggression problems with strange dogs. If a client came to me with a dog-aggressive dog, it would be a hefty price tag. I use my dogs to train other dogs (show by example learning). I am putting my own dogs at risk when I'm training their dogs, so it would indeed be a higher tag.
If those are the only two training centers you have, or you've narrowed it down to these two ONLY, I would go with the first.
