Can anyone recommend an effective dog trainer in the east bay?
I am looking for a good dog trainer in the east bay that isn't super expensive. Does anyone know if petsmart is any good? I also heard about a guy mike that holds classes at cowell park in concord but can't find anything online. Anyone have any info?
The lead trainer at the Berkeley SPCA, Nancy Frensley, is pretty good. I had a private training session with her and she gave me some good techniques on how to manage my dog who is reactive to other dogs.
Another place you might consider is Metro Dog in the Richmond area. They are a day care place but they also do training, dog walking, grooming etc. Alison, who is the lead trainer there is quite good. One of my dogs uses their daycare facilities quite frequently, and I really like the way that Alison deals with dogs. I have had one private lesson with her, and she was able to handle my reactive Shiba Inu quite well.
