Dog Training? 10 points best answer!?
I am getting a puppy right when it turns 8 weeks. Should I keep it in it's crate that night if I'm going to crate-train him? Any tips would help a lot! Thank you!
first off he will probably cry all night long lol..but it will get better. and yes i do believe crate training is the easiest way to do things. be sure to have a crate that is just enough room to sleep in...no food..no bathroom area..just a bed area. most dogs do not want to soil their bed if they can keep from it. (he is only 8 weeks so go easy on him) first thing take him outside..reward him with a treat or praise when he does his duty then back inside to play. then back in the crate to sleep and when he wakes back outside..ect. eventually he will start letting you know that its time to go out..goodluck..and have fun!
