Dog Training Shock Collar

dog training shock collar
How to lessen the shock of a dog shock collar?

I ordered two remote control shock collars to help train my dog. They are a 25lb corgi and a 40lb beagle. I shocked myself with it to test and it was a bit strong, and when I've had to shock the beagle she jumps and cries so I am really afraid to shock the corgi. I cant afford a new set of collars, is there anything I can put on the prongs to make them feel the shock less? It came with plastic covers for the shockers and those are on, but maybe some sort of tape or fabric I can put over?? Any ideas? Thanks.
I have taken both dogs into obedience training and talked to several trainers. None of them have been able to solve the barking issues.

Get your money back on the collars and hire a dog trainer. Your dogs will be happier and they'll be much better trained.
