Certified Dog Trainer

Should I be certified by CCPDT if I want to be a dog trainer?

I want to be a dog trainer and I was wondering if the CCPDT was something that would help your career or if its just an empty title and a waste of money.
I'am already studying under a trainer with over 30 years of experience

I think you should show as many credentials as possible to show potential clients you are a serious trainer. Clients may not know what these things mean but they think it means something. You should also join Association of Pet Dog Trainers, APDT. It can also help to advertise yourself.
