Nail clipping (A good dog is a trained dog come answer please :))?
I just rang my local vet and they are wanting to charge $26au for a nail clipping, to me, this seems a little steep. How much to you pay and I want "A good dog is a trained dog" to answer aswell please, as you live in Perth too and would like to know where you go and how much you pay.
:)
I would eventually like to do it myself, but I hae never done it before and would prefer a vet or vet nurse to show me exactly what to do.
OK ill consider doing it myself... one question... luckily most of his nails are clear, but he has two black ones... whats the best way to approach those ones with out getting the wick?
I have noticed his nails are strangely thick, thicker than any of my other dogs I've had.
I'd prefer to be shown first, so im on the hunt for a groomer now, I'll get them to use both a clipper and a dremel, see how he takes to both.
Thanks every one for the advise and hopefully soon I'll be doing it myself :)
I get them done for free because I do them myself. It helps a lot. But I've heard vets charging upwards of $40 to $50 for a clipping because it's a "vet visit".
