cat behavior questions?
I'm close to adopting a shelter cat. I haven't owned a cat before. This one seems pretty calm and sweet. But I've been reading online about cat proofing my house. I can't possibly put away all the accessories I have on tables and wouldn't want to. I also have antiques which I can't move out of my house just because of a cat. Should I be concerned that one cat can do so much damage. Or are the websites exagerating the problem? I have friends with cats and they don't seem to have rearranged their houses because of there pets. Also I have a Guinea pig. She is in a cage. Is that ok with a cat in the house. Thanks.
Depends some cats like to get on counters and mess with objects/items and some don`t, if they do they can be broken of this, just tell it no and take it off the counter and keep doing that. my cat personally doesn`t so it may not its basically just random, if they will or not.
I honestly think they are Exagerating the problem alot, so don`t re-arrange your house for the cat.
also i have a hamster, and its been doing ok, so it will probably be ok with the cat in the house.
hope this has helped.
good luck =]
