trying to find a book I read about 20 years ago?
plotline is: An American soldier serving in Vietnam is captured, and while being held he witnesses the execution of another American prisoner by a Russian soldier. The American escapes and after the war begins a successful guard/security dog training business. Then an attempt is made on his life, which he thwarts. Investigating he realizes the someone is after him, it is the next Russian president, the man who executed the prisoner and the principal character is the only witness to the attrocity. The main character flys a Lake seaplane to a secluded cabin in Canada with a former service buddy. The Russians send Spetsnatz troops after the lead and he fights back. Thanks
