Our dog is way too hyper and out of control?
My mom bought a siberian husky back in February and she is about 7 months now. She won't listen if you yell at her and she's too hyper.
She would chase after the cats and attack them. She would also jump on people and bite them, and each time we try to teach her not to jump and bite she won't listen at all. If she's doing something wrong and you would yell at her, she keeps on doing it. It's like she can't sense that you're mad at her.
When we're trying to cook, she would jump up on the counter and we would yell at her to get down, but she wont' listen.
Has anybody had a dog that was like this? How did you deal with it. My sister wants to take her to obedience school. She's just way too hyper!
Let me run that in my translator:
"My dog is way too hyper and out of control..." in real terms equals..
"I was not prepared for this dog and I have not done anything to help my dog learn and grow."
I never recommend Huskies for novice dog owners. Most cannot handle them training wise as they are amazinly stubborn. I run my huskies for 5 miles or more everyday and they are still full of energy. You obviously aren't exercising her enough. She needs to be spayed as well. She will start trying to escape to get to a male dog to mate and you wont be able to handle puppies in your current situation, probably never will, actually.
You didn't socialize her well enough as a puppy, you didn't introduce her to manners or a decent schedule or training regime. That is obvious.
You need to bring in a trainer and don't wait another day!
