Dog house training help?
I need help housetraining my dog. Thank you
He is a collie mix, 7 weeks old. We are trying to get him trained inside the house when we are at work and are unable to let him outside. But when we are home we like for him to go outside. Thanks
Thanks! Okay.
Newspaper training - If you puppy has a room or a pen, cover the entire floor with newspaper. That way, the dog will go on the newspapers where ever he goes. Do this for about a week, and then start gradually reducing the ammount of newspapers laid on the floor. Everytime you take away some papers, give him a week or so to get used to the new ammount. Continue this until he has a corner or so left with newspapers.

^ Great article, and is really helpful. Crate training is a bit complicated to explain, so I just gave an article. And if you only want him/her to pee inside when you are gone, crate training is probably right for you.
As for outside training, take your puppy out every half hour or so, and immediately after he eats or drinks. If you have a clicker, this works great. Walk outside with him until s/he goes to the bathroom, and then click and treat. Or just treat, lol.
He'll eventually learn what is right. Dogs aim to please.
And finally, house training to pee outside.
