House training a puppy.?

I haven't a puppy in 5ish years, so i need some new tips.
Shes a 4 month aussie/beagle. rescued
1. after feeding when should i bring her out?
2. Any training tips. ( Shes going to go to a training school at end of this month.
Any more tips.
Thanks :D

I used a crate with my second dog and he was reliably housetrained within a month. Our first dog wasn't reliable until around 6 months old. If you aren't comfortable with using a crate, you need to keep the puppy tethered to you (long leash) at all times. If you can't watch him he needs to be confined in a safe area.

Puppy Training School

Do I need to take my Lab to puppy school?

I have a 9 month old Black Lab. Do I need to take him to Training? We work with him at home daily. He is doing well . . . except, he gets so excited when ever any one comes over. What to do?!?!?!?

Well keep working with him at home. It will be a great experience. It is normal for him to get excited when people come over. 1. he is a lab and labs love people and 2 he is still a puppy. As the years go by he will come down. If you want to take him to classes he will get used to being around other dogs and you and him will have a great time. You will also make friends
