Golf Instruction Tips-The Benefits of Golf Swing Software and Golf Training Equipment

Golf instruction tips, before the use of advanced technology such as golf swing software, golf training equipment, dvd and simulators used to be mainly confined to newspapers and magazines.

The increasing use of advanced technology means that the role of golf swing tips has lessened considerably..because now with golf swing trainers, dvd box sets and golf swing software which allows your teaching pro to analyse and critique your swing and look at it in the whole.

Golf instruction tips in this environment have a limited role..somewhat akin to putting on  sticking plaster when you are suffering from pneumonia.

There is no doubt that some tips will help you improve your swing and scores in the short term. But there is a certain placebo effect at work here..and if your swing is fundamentally unsound then a more thorough overall approach will reap rewards in the long run.

Tips that you may receive from your friends or teaching pro will assist you practically immediately, but if your overall swing is fundamentally flawed through poor fundamentals such as grip, set up or posture, then your original problem will occur again.

It is for this reason that I would strongly advise that you make the most of the advances in technology such as the use of golf swing software, high speed photography and golf dvd to improve your swing.

You can learn more about golf swing trainers, golf training equipment and the full benefits of modern technology at my blog..

Dog Training Advice- The 1 Dog Training Mistake You Should Avoid

Greetings Puppy and Dog Lovers! This is Allan with some dog training advice and I thank you for being the one who is training your dog. If you are not the one training your dog you really should be. Why? Because it is so much more fun, exciting, effective and cheaper than dog training classes or professional trainers. Some people consider dog training to be lessons for the dog. What they do not realize is that it is lessons for them as well. As the owner you are also learning a lot about your pup.

Dog Training Advice- Common Dog Training Pitfall

Here is what happens: John Smith gets his new doberman and names her Candy. He wants to train her so he looks for training methods. He follows a guide that states they have the one training method that will train any breed of dog. This is good right? WRONG! Huge mistake. Not good dog training advice. There is a lot of misinformation being spread about a one magic bullet training method that works for all dogs. There are over 400 breeds of dogs. There is no way that all these different personalities of dogs can respond to some one universal method. This just does not exist. Well, Sort of. Let me clarify.....

When you first start to train your dog, you should start with basic training. Now basic training methods are fundamental and can be applied to all dogs. These methods are just the general foundation that you build when training your dog and these methods apply to any and every dog. An example would be the positive reinforcement method. This is a fundamental method where you train your dog by praising and rewarding him or her with treats when they complete a task or display good behavior!

However the basic methods are just that the basics. They are not enough. In order to properly train your dog to be obedient, housebroken, well behaved around people and other dogs you need advance training methods that are specific to the type of dog that you have. For example a Dalmatian is considered one for the most aggressive dogs among all dog breeds. In order to control and subdue that aggression you need advance behavior training methods that work for dalmatians. Methods for say Labrador Retrievers would not be as effective since they are one of the most non-aggressive of dog breeds.

Please let this information marinate. I have many friends and family members that went and adopted a dog because they looked cute and then attempted to just train it with just basic training methods. Their dogs sit alright. But their furniture, shoes and pretty much anything in the household has been chewed on including the family and occasional visitors :o). So I hope you found this dog training advice useful! Take care and say hi to the pooch for me.

Agility Training

Do I combine weightlifting and agility training for football in one session?

How do I go about this, i'm going to tryout for football next season and i'm starting to condition and train myself now. Do I weightlift AND sprint/jump/run ect. in one training session? Like start out day one by hitting the weights and right after do some 40 yard dashes?

No do them separately. Do weight lifting one day take break for one and then the day after that do some agility's.

Dog Training Tips and Tricks: Recall Training your Dog

Recall training has two basic concepts. The first is to treat your dog well each time he comes to you. Be it a kind word, a pat on the head, or a scratch behind the ears, Buddy will relish the affection you show him.

The second concept takes much more effort. Purchase a line that measures ten to twenty feet. Clip it onto Buddy’s collar and take him to the park or into the yard. Then, start training.

The line allows Buddy to put some distance between you. When Buddy has ventured almost to the end of his line, call him. A simple, “Buddy come,” will suffice. Be sure to have lots of treats in your pocket just in case he shocks you and comes immediately. If he does come, give him a treat. The worst scenario is that you will have to reel in the line to make him come. With this method, Buddy is responsible for his own behavior, but you still have control over the situation if he doesn’t obey.

If Buddy sits perfectly still when you give the “come” command, or watches birds and squirrels playing in a nearby tree, he hasn’t obeyed. Either reel him in, or go and get him and bring him to the spot where you gave the command. If this is the case, Buddy gets no reward, but no punishment either. Down play the incident and try again later.

The next time you try recall training, follow the same agenda. Never repeat the “come” command. Buddy should come the first time he’s called. If not, reel him in or go and get him and take him to where you gave the command. Down play the incident and try again later. Do this again and again and… well, you get the picture. Repetition is the name of the game. The process is long. It may take a week, a month, a year or more of constant recall training before Buddy gets it right and comes on your first command every time. But…diligence pays off and in time when you say, “come,” Buddy will obey.

In the meantime recall training will have its ups and downs. There will be times when Buddy will come. When this happens, give him a treat, rub his head, and scratch his ears and say, “good boy,” or some thing similar. Whatever else you do, reward his obedience immediately. He’ll soon get the message that obedience reaps rewards and affection.

Above all, never scream, yell, or hit Buddy if he doesn’t obey. If you do, it will set your training efforts back to day one. Buddy will fear you and instead of coming on command, he will put more distance between the two of you. When he doesn’t obey simply go to him, grasp his collar and gently take him to where you gave the command. This lets him know you are ready to enforce your commands and that he has no choice but to obey.

If you run into problems and Buddy just won’t obey, seek the services of a professional dog trainer. It may cost a bit, but a professional will be able to point out where you’re going wrong. It’s well worth the expense to know that Buddy will respond to your commands. This ensures that he will always be safe, so you can enjoy each others company for many years to come.
