Teaching English in abroad with dogs?
I am looking for an teaching position abroad - do not have too many preferences as to where - but somewhere that has a need for multiple teachers - my soon to be husband and I - and allows dogs without quarantine- we have 2.
We both have a Bachelors in English with a minor in Secondary Education - waiting for our Colorado teaching licenses to process. So we have experience teaching students already and plenty of knowledge and strategies.
Our dogs have been through obedience training and will most likely be getting their Canine Good Citizen certificates this summer.
Any info you can provide would be wonderful, particularly links!
I know that South Korea allows dogs - but they eat them and people will steal pets to sell for meat.... According to my searches, the Czech Republic and Slovakia allow pets without quarantine. But I am not sure how to find a job!!
Heh - that is pathetic - I made a grammar error in my query.
Oh my gosh! Come to Prague! It is dog heaven! People love dogs here and they are allowed everywhere! Honestly.
I have been teaching here in Prague for almost three years. I did a 4 week TEFL course here, and just decided to stay. It is super easy to find teaching jobs (there are close to 100 Language schools in Prague) and once you have the TEFL you should be able to work - no problem. I was working about 2 weeks after I graduated.
So my vote is Prague. Great for teachers, great for dogs, and an awesome expat community. :)
