Dog training?
I asked a question about my dog not liking people he doesn't know and barking constantly (more than most dogs do) and I said I can't afford a trainer and all I got was answers saying I'm a bad owner (which I'm not, I love him like he's my kid and give him all the things dog needs) and some people said that I can't afford him so I need to get rid of him which is BULL because I don't consider a trainer something a dog NEEDS. that would be food, water, toys, a yard to run in, going to the vets, and all that stuff I DO SO YEAH SHUT UP!
anywayyyy the answers i'm looking for are suggestions on training my dog myself. how to teach him to stop barking. because really, it just gets ridiculous
oh gawd...i posted questions like that and you should have seen the replies i got.. people are so stupid and have no idea what they are talkign about. I bet you anything there dogs are bad and walk all over them!
Whats the breed of your dog? how old is it?
Go get a training book it gives you alot of tips. they say about 10 -15 minutes of training a day. Voice tones are easier to understand for dogs than words. When i trained my dog i used a different tone for every comand. ( high pitched to low, saying a word slow and then one fast) I also used a hand sign for visual learning. So as soon asyour dog barks scold him asap with a low toned loud voice "STOP", and your hand up, Every single time. when he stops give him a treat. If he barks again...do it again. its tough but dogs are smarrt, pretty soon you guys will be able to communicate without even talking! good luck =)
