House training old cat?

I have a rescued old cat, she is a sweet old thing. But I cannot get her to go outside to poop she will only use her litter tray.
Tried all the usuall tricks but no joy.
Anyone got any sugestions please
Shes very smelly.

Cats like to bury their poop. Make an area for her with sand or very loose dirt. They also sell Cat Attract, its to make cats use their litter boxes, but there's no reason you can't use it outside where you want her to go potty.
