Question about buying a blank firing pistol (for training dogs)?
I saw them at gander mtn., they are pistols that are ment to train hunting dogs, they just only fire blanks. I need to get one of these so I can train with my dogs. My question is can I get one? The reason I ask is because I am 16. I know some people (mostly the ones at the check out at gander mtn) would think that since I am a teenager I would use it to rob a bank or something.
But i check the regulations on this and you do not need a permit to posses them. So could I buy one even though I am 16? (i am in MN).
A blank pistol is not considered a firearm since it does not fire a projectile under the force of an explosion. You shouldn't have any problem but you never know the eductation level of the clerk is or what the policy of the store is.
