Dog/Puppy Training Quick Fixes?
What is it with people today and not wanting to actually put in the time to train their pets?
Last night we had the trog who wanted to put a shock collar on an 8 week old puppy because it wasn't listening(Hello, 8 week old puppy here) and now we have the guy who wants to debark the 15 week old pup his wife brought home.
I mean come on we don't expect this kind of perfection in our young children, well some of us don't, but why are more and more people expecting to be able to fix a problem overnight?
Dog = Ornament.
I buy a Flat Screen TV. I plug it in. It works. The End.
I buy a Lawn Gnome. I put it in my yard. It's cute. It makes my yard look good. The End.
I buy a Labrador puppy. I put it in my living room. It's really cute. I let it out (because it asks to go, at 8 weeks old). People in my neighborhood ooh and ahhh over its cuteness. The End.
Dogs aren't living beings to people any more. We don't respect them as anything other than decor and sources of entertainment when we need to be entertained.
