What are some good small game hunting dogs for starters?

Hey guys I'm 16 and recently I got my hunters safety card, though I have been hunting before....my birthday is in a couple weeks and my parents said I could get a pup to train and raise for hunting....around here coon hunting is big...I also squirrel hunt and rabbit hunt mostly...so what are some good dogs that can track these small game animals good...also one that is easier to train if that's possible....thanks

Go with a beagle. Great rabbit dog.
