Potty Training A Dog?

I live in a condo on the top floor and was thinking about getting a small dog. I would take him/her for walks a lot but for times when I'm at work (my sister and I work opposite shifts so the dog would barely be alone...plus we have 2 cats)

I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a dog being litter or puppy pad trained?

Yes, you hear it all the time. I own a shih tzu, and she is trained to go on the pads, and outside.


Though, after the years it has become a pain. After 6 years, it will be hard to break her of her habits of going on the pads. I highly recomend that you try to housebreak her instead. Or, adopt an older dog that is already housetrained!
